A little bit about pricing
Our packages include starting points for Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large or extra hairy dogs to give you an idea of what to expect. Once we meet your dog we will be better able to provide a more accurate price along with suggestions as to what services will most benefit your pet.
Dogs with matted or very thick coats or temperamental personalities often take extra time to groom. The price for additional time will be reflective in the final cost.

A word on Doodles: We LOVE our Doodles at Yellow Dog. But due to the great variation in size and coat type they do not neatly fit into any of the above categories. We can estimate cost based on weight and package requested.
About your appointment:

Please allow 5-10 minutes prior to each appointment to be met by your Yellow Dog groomer who will need this time with you for a hands-on pre grooming consultation and basic health check. This is to ensure your pet is fit and healthy for grooming, to assess the condition of the coat, which may affect the price of the groom and to establish your expectations for any trimming and style requirements.

Grooms may be cancelled should clients arrive more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled appointment time.

Should dogs not be picked up past Yellow Dog’s scheduled closing time a $30.00 charge for every 15 minutes late will apply. Please ensure to leave all relevant contact information to ensure your dog can be picked up within a reasonable amount of time once the groom has concluded.

A really good warm bath in our premium line of shampoos and conditioning treatments.
Unlike big box stores, that use recirculating bathing systems and low quality shampoos to cut down on time and cost, we hand wash all our dogs with our top of the line natural shampoos and conditioning treatments. A hand wash and skin massage helps eliminate dead skin and dander getting not only their hair and fur clean but their skin too, and that’s important. (Hypoallergenic, moisturizing and whitening shampoos can be substituted at no extra cost to you )
A blueberry facial
This includes a tearless facial cleanser -- specifically designed for dogs -- to deep clean, whiten, and brighten that face we all love so much. This treatment is included with every groom and bath...this is not an extra charge or an upgrade at Yellow Dog...it’s all part of the service.
A nice warm blow dry
At Yellow Dog all drying is hand drying. Individual attention to the drying process allows bathers to view skin better able to identify any potential skin issues. No hours in crate dryer here at Yellow Dog.
A brush out
Using appropriate brushes for your dog’s coat, a good brushing will stimulate blood flow to the skin allowing for better skin health as well as removing dead undercoat adding shine and lustre to your dog’s hair and fur.
A full body haircut and styling
Whether you prefer a breed trim, a puppy cut or a practical style that best suits your lifestyle, Yellow Dog’s fully trained groomers will help you decide on a trim that best suits you and your dog. A sanitation trim, an ear cleaning, pads cleaned out, and a nail trim will complete your full groom.

Puppy Bath & Trim
For Puppies between 2-4 months old, the Yellow Dog Puppy bath is an introduction to the wonderful world of grooming. It’s important to get your puppy used to being groomed early & a Yellow Dog Puppy Bath is a great way to start. It includes a warm bath in Gentle Puppy shampoo,
a gentle touch blow dry, nail Trimming , and trimming on face, feet and sanitary area if required. Boat loads of love & affection included for free.

A TIDY UP is not an all over body trim. It is a trimming of feet, face, and fanny. The length of your dog’s body hair will not change. Think of it as a sprucing up of those sticky outie bits.

TIDY UPS can take from 1 hour to 3 hours to complete depending on size of dog, condition of coat and attitude of dog towards the grooming process.

Dogs that shed/double coated dogs that request a TIDY UP (i.e: Golden Retrievers, Newfoundland, Shelties) will be charged a standard rate of $70.00 per hour*.

For all dogs that shed their coat we will use the Fur-Minator Low Shed line of shampoos and conditioners. This line is high in Omega oils allowing the hair follicle to open giving bathers and groomers an opportunity to wash, blow and brush out more of that dead undercoat that can clog pores, cause skin issues and impede your dog’s temperature regulation. The follicle will close over a 24 hour period so while you may see some residual drop over that time this service will greatly diminish the amount of shed you see at home...and in your car... and on your pants.
* Hourly rates are based on Tub and Table time only. You are not billed for any waiting time your dog may experience.
